This story made my day/week/month! This so much for sharing. And more importantly, thanks for sharing the info at the end about lead ammunition. That lead is still allowed is ridiculous, knowing what we know about it. We have the gun industry to thank for that.
I've encountered many hunters on this platform that care about this issue, so at least it's not all of them. Hunters have started these non-lead ammo organizations.
My first encounter was quite close up at the Oakland Zoo. I was pretty stunned at his size and beauty. I believe he's the father of some of these free-flying birds, and they take him up to mentor them in the release cages. Really a cool program all around. And supported by so many organizations and zoos.
This is so exciting! I remember in elementary school how we learned that the Condors were almost extinct and what we could do as children to help. It's so nice to have some positive news!

So glad to hear.

Yeah, the organisations that "represent" hunters don't actually represent most of nthem at all.
Yes, that's my impression
Great news! I'll never forget the awe of seeing one perched on a bridge over the Colorado River.

The Last Jedi: "That’s how we’re gonna win. Not fighting what we hate, saving what we love.”
I’m so stoked about this!!
Me too. Very much.
There’s so much amazing restoration being done by tribes. Heart heart heart.
One could write a whole book about these efforts.
It's crossed my mind. Reaching out to all the tribes involved would be necessary and considerably time-consuming, but also enriching.
Congrats Yurok Tribe! Your continued record of stewardship of your lands is fantastic to see.
